Parents
Be an example of fitness and fun for your kids!
Encourage your kids to get involved in the Steps for Schools challenge and help them fill out the Activity Log.
This is a great chance to plan special exercise trips (walks around the neighborhood, soccer with the family, etc). Be sure to keep track of all the time your kids spend playing at recess, practicing for a team, or rehearsing for a performance. All activities, not just walking, can be counted toward steps.
If your child completes her Activity Log, she has a chance to win a new bike! And if her classroom wins, each student wins a gift card from Blenders in the Grass, so be sure to get out and get active!
How to Play:
- Read about steps for schools in the summary, then help answer any questions your child may have about the competition.
- Plan to exercise with your kids throughout the 5-day challenge.
- Help your child enter her info in the Activity Log and add up the minutes.
- Make sure your child turns the Activity Log in to the teacher on Monday, April 30.
