Ventura County 2020 Progress Tracker

Ventura County Public Health (VCPH) selected 15 population health indicators that aligned with the priority areas and goals to be tracked over the next five years through its strategic planning process. These indicators were selected through a review of the most relevant data from the Community Health Assessment, Health Matters in Ventura County (www.healthmattersinvc.org), Healthy People 2020, the County Health Rankings, the County Health Profiles (California Department of Public Health) and the Healthy Communities Data and Indicators Project. In some cases, Ventura County was already meeting the Healthy People 2020 target for a specific indicator; VCPH set a target of a 5% improvement for each selected indicator over the next five years. These indicators will be tracked and reported on annually and as new data becomes available during this strategic planning cycle.
